Police arrest 156 outlawed Indigenous Biafra persons in Delta State


The Delta State Police Command has arrested about one hundred and fifty six outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra.

In a statement made available by the Delta State Police Command, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP. Celestina Kalu said the arrests was made possible by the police patrol team sequel to information received that the group will be holding a meeting at Oneh Primary School, Asaba on 6/9/15 at about 1400hrs.

According to the statement, "Immediately after the arrest, a team of detectives headed by the AC CIID, conducted a screening exercise, eleven (11) of them suspected to be the ring leaders are still undergoing further investigation and possible prosecution, while the rest including women and children were warned and released.”

Items recovered from them include:Biafra freedom song, CD plate Group photograph showing members of the group,United Nation’s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People Document containing Biafra National Anthem, Documents containing World latest  vote on Biafra, One Sony camera, A book titled Agueleri: The pivot of the Bani-Israil in Nigeria.

The command is committed to providing a peaceful atmosphere for the enhancement of democracy and therefore, warned that the provisions of the law will be enforced to the letters and no one , no matter how
highly placed will be treated as sacred cow. The public are advised to be aware that fraternizing with the group of outlawed indigenous people of Biafra is unlawful; anyone arrested will be made to face the
full wrath of the law
