Residents of Walter Odeli street in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State has appealed to the State Government to help fix the Walter Odeli road which links Oil Field road and 3rd Marine Gate.
The residents made the appeal recently when newsmen visited the area in Warri.
The residents noted that they suffer most especially in this rainy season as due to the deplorable state of the road and lack of drainage systems in the area.
One of the residents, Mrs. Pat Ologbo noted that some of her co-resident evacuated their homes to other destinations due to flood and the poor road leaving so many houses and commercial stores vacant
in the area.
Another resident of the area, Miss Ogechi Osihen an apprentice in one of the commercial stores in the area  noted that, “ the environment is floody when it rains” suggesting that the Direct Labour Agency, DLA
and other government interventionist agencies be mobilized to repair the road by the Delta State Government.
Mrs. Ann Idowu a business woman and resident of Walter Odeli Street attributed her defeat in business to flood and the deplorable state of the road just as she appealed to the Delta State Government to come to the aid of residents in the area.
