THE Iduwini National Movement for Peace and Development has commended the Delta State Government, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo and others for restoring eace to the troubled Odimodi community.
The group also tasks the people of Odimodi community to embrace peace in order to resolve their differences amicably.
This was contained in a press statement yesterday by the group President, Engr. Forcados Kingsley in Warri, Delta State.
He charges the Odimodi people to have the interest and development of the town at heart and be ready to sacrifice personal interest for it's overall well-being.
"We must be determined to see Odimodi rise to a new level of prominence in development, with positive impact on our people.
"We commended the Delta State Government led by His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, Chief Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a. Tompolo, Chief Ebikeme Clark, Chairman, Burutu Council, Chief Tunde Smooth, Chief Bibopiri Ajube and other Niger Delta Leaders
for their timely intervention."
He blamed the wanton neglect and under-development of Odimodi by SPDC and other companies operating within the Kingdom and past governments for the ugly incident which led to bloodbath.
He appeals to the current State Government and the oil companies to bring meaningful development to the area to forestall future crisis
