AS part of its efforts to populate heaven, the Christ Embassy Church on Friday said it had about Ten thousand children under its care as a way of catching them from the streets..
Pastor Ciji Darah, the Warri zonal head of Christ Embassy made this known while briefing newsmen on the 2015 Reach out Nigeria (RON) project of the church.
Darah was represented by Mr Yemi Morakinyo at the event.
The cleric also said that out of the ten thousand children, fifty-seven were adopted in Warri with accommodation and good education.
He said the ministry would continue to impact on the lives of the people through the spread of the gospel of Christ and other positive means.
''We have 30 million copies of Rhapsody of Reality to be distributed this year and in Warri zone we are going to distribute 2.5 million copies within a period of three months,'' he said.
Darah said the theme of this year programme was ''Dawning a new nation''.
He added that the annual event which started in 2007 would also witnessed football tournament, youth empowerment as well as medical services.
The pastor said the aim of the event was to further propagate the words of God throughout the country and bring light to the nation.
He also said the desire was to ensure youth aspired for purpose and greatness through the words of God which he described as ''veritable agent of change in man''.
''RON offers the opportunity to reach out to people no matter how little and the event is held every Independent Day.
''Independent day is not a day for mourning but to rejoice and bless our dear country Nigeria.
''RON avail us the opportunity to pray for Nigeria and be part of the celebration of the nation's greatness,'' he said.
