Delta police rescue kidnapped Bishop and Bank Manager


The Delta State Police Command has rescued the Bishop of Gwagwalada Diocese, Bishop Moses Tabwaye from his abductors.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP. Celestina Kalu said the clergy was rescued by a Special Anti-Kidnapping Squard/Tracking Team who closed up on the hoodlums.

The statement noted that,”Police of Safer Highway Patrol Team 009 on routine patrol at Onicha Ugbo/Ewhohimi road rescued the cleric and recovered  an ash colored Toyota Highlander Jeep with Registration Number:GWA 842 SJ while his car ignition was left steaming."

The statement said the clergy was rescued by the Special Anti-Kidnapping Squard/Tracking Team who closed up on the hoodlums.

The Statement noted that the Bishop Tabwaye was travelling from Abuja to Onitsha when he was kidnapped in Edo State.

In the same vein, the Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad
operatives/tracking team  have also rescued the Manager of First Bank in Kwale, Mr. Ekwuabu Lawrence who was kdnapped on 3/09/15 along Kwale
road while the hoodlums escaped.

In a statement of behalf of the Delta State Police Command, Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP. Celestina Kalu has been intensified in view of the arrest of the fleeing suspects.

Investigation is intensified in view to arrest the fleeing hoodlums.
