A newspaper publisher simply identified as Solomon has committed suicide over poor newspapers sales.
General Gossips gathered that the publisher who resided in Achalla lay out area of Asaba, took his life in anguish occasioned by poor sales of his newspapers.
The suicide-taker allegedly left a suicide note, a copy which read, "I cannot stay alive suffering when nobody is helping me. Even my wife and children abandoned me, and sales in my newspapers business have been very poor."
Rosemary, wife of the suicide-taker, however deny the allegation. In her reaction, she described the claims as fallacious, insisting that her late husband committed suicide when it became glaring that he was very lazy and refuse criticism of same by friends and relatives.
Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Usman, said that the police had interrogated the wife and daughter of the deceased.
He added that the remains of the suicide-taker was found dangling from a tree branch behind his house.
Frank, son of the deceased said that that his mother and sister are contributors to the suicide mission of his father. He hinted that he has informed the police so too.
He revealed that whenever his late father complained, his mother and sister will shut him up, after lavishing the loan he took from a cooperative society.
