Ex lawmaker decamps to APC with over 500 PDP members in Delta
UGHELLI - FORMER Ughelli North legislator, Hon. Roland Oyibo, who represented Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North Legislative Arm of Delta State, weekend decamped to the All Progressive Congress, APC, with over 500 supporters and members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Oyibo, said he has no option but to leave the PDP as his leaders have moved, insisting that the APC is the only political party that can sanitise the sixteen wasted years PDP had subjected the country to.
Oyibo a soon to be lawyer said that the defection of over 500 from PDP to APC, shows the area has lesser work to do during the local government and 2019, general elections, assuring the APC local government executive of victory and further drive for more members.
While commending the leadership of Chief Austin Uloho in the local government area, Oyibo expressed his unflinching loyalty to Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Senator representing Delta Central and other leaders of the party and reassured the people of his readiness to make Agbarha-Otor, APC ward great again.
The ceremony witnessed dignitaries including a former Delta State lawmaker, Hon. Friday Onodjai, the ward and local government party chairmen, Hon. Felix Ekure, Chief Samuel Oteri and Comr. Monday Oyeghe, Senior Special Assistant to Chief O’tega Emerhor.
The APC leaders in their various comments explained that Deltans are tired of the impunity of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and in all the states PDP governs.
They added that the present hardship being faced by the people was caused by the past administration of PDP and will be for a moment, saying that Buhari’s administration had come to restructure the country.
